SPBA Annual General Meeting 2025

Southern Peninsula Basketball Association (SPBA) advises all members that the Annual General Meeting of the Association will be held on Sunday 16 November 2025. This meeting is convened in accordance with the SPBA Constitution and all members under the Constitution are invited to attend.

Minutes of 2024 AGM
Ordinary Business of the AGM
  • Confirm the minutes of the previous AGM and any General Meeting since.
  • Receive from the Board reports on the past financial year.
  • Elect the Directors of the Association.
  • Appoint an auditor for the forthcoming year.
  • Transact other business for which written notice has been given to the Secretary.

  • Seven elected Board Members and up to two appointed members.
  • Board Member incumbents may stand for re-election.
  • Twelve meetings per year, held monthly.

Important Attendance Requirement

As per SPBA Domestic By-laws teams must have at least one representative attend the AGM. Failure to do so will incur a fine. Independent teams that do not attend but provide at least 48 hours' notice will be treated as a notified forfeit. If no notice or less than 48 hours' notice is given, it will be considered an un-notified forfeit. This requirement does not apply to Clubs.

Clubs must have representatives from at least 50% of their teams attend the Annual General Meeting. If less than 50% of teams are represented, the non-attending teams will incur a notified forfeit fee, regardless of notification.

Attendees to an AGM can only sign in for one team.
