PROGRAM SUMMARY
Sharks Academy is a specialised development program designed to offer relevant and high-quality basketball opportunities for those not participating in the mainstream VJBL Program.
Instead of participating in regular Friday night games, Sharks Academy teams participate in three tournaments throughout the year. The Academy Program caters to athletes from Under 10’s to Under 20’s (subject to interest), providing an entrance into SPBA’s style of play and a pathway for skill development and competition.
The Sharks Academy embodies SPBA’s commitment to delivering accessible and meaningful basketball experiences for all aspiring players.
Eligibility
Anyone currently playing in our domestic competition, and not participating in VJBL, is eligible to try out for the Sharks Academy. We’re looking for U10 to U20 athletes with the desire to improve their skills and compete at a higher level.
Athletes must be born in 2006-2017.
