Frequently Asked questions

Once all teams are entered, we re-grade them according to their VJBL ranking – ensuring you are playing against the level of teams you will play in grading.

As a rough guide on where you should enter on your registration according to your VJBL ranking, see below:

Pool 1 = Championship
Pool 2 = higher teams – Championship | lower teams – Division 1
Pool 3/4 = Division 1/2
Pool 5/6 = Division 2/3
Pool 7/8 = Division 3/4
Pool 9/10 = Division 4/5
Pool 11+ = Division 6

If you are a team who does not play VJBL, please place them as best estimated and we will review as we grade.

**Note – the above is a guide and will vary depending on how many teams of each level enter.

Our Championship Division attracts the best teams in the state vying for a position in VC. This division typically consists of teams from the top 20 in the state.

The tournament is aimed at representative teams, however, we do accept domestic team registrations in the lowest divisions if they will be competitive.

Every team plays a minimum of four games across the tournament, plus a grand final if your team makes it.

Games are played from Rosebud through to Carrum Downs. Fixtures are completed to minimise travel across the weekend and to stay in the same area for your games.

Unfortunately each team will not know where they are playing until the fixture is released a week prior to the tournament.

Saturday the 11th of November is Remembrance Day and the tournament will be pausing all operations from 10:58am in preparation for one minute of silence at 11am in honour of those who have sacrificed their life for our country.

At 10:58am, our stadium staff will press an air horn to alert participants and referees of the upcoming minute of silence.

After hearing the horn, referees shall stop the game as soon as possible – including if the ball is in play. The only time where play stopping may be delayed is if a player is or is likely to be in a shooting/scoring movement.

At 11:00am, our stadium staff will again press the horn to signal to participants the one minute silence is commencing.
At the end of the minute, the horn will sound again to signal the end of the minute of silence.

We ask for all participant’s cooperation during period.

No, the team entry fee is all inclusive of all player and spectator entry!

Scroll below for our full operations manual which outlines all operations of the tournament and division rules.
