SPBA Basketball Programs

SPBA basketball programs are designed to introduce young athletes to the game in a fun, supportive, and engaging environment. Whether your child is just starting out or looking to take their skills to the next level, we have a program tailored for them. From our Baby Sharks sessions for little beginners (ages 3-5) to Aussie Hoops Rookie & All Stars programs for developing players (ages 5-11), we focus on fundamental skills, teamwork, and confidence-building at all of our SPBA basketball programs.

For older and more experienced players, the Rising Sharks Program offering a high-intensity, skill-focused training experience for U12 – U18 athletes aiming to refine their game and learn the Sharks’ style of play. No matter the level, our programs provide expert coaching, engaging drills, and a great way to enjoy basketball while making new friends.

Beginner • Ages 3 to 5

Give your child a fun, positive introduction to basketball. Through engaging games, kids can learn the basics while having a great time. It’s all about developing coordination, teamwork, and a love for the game, helping every young player take their first steps toward becoming their own version of a basketball star.

Aussie Hoops

Ages 5 to 11 • Beginner to Intermediate

This is perfect for young players taking their very first steps into basketball! Designed especially for beginners, it’s all about building confidence, learning the fundamentals, and having fun along the way. Parents can expect a supportive, engaging environment where their child will develop essential skills, make new friends, and grow a love for the game from day one.
The program will run for 8 sessions.

Ideal for players who already have some basketball experience, whether they’ve played in a domestic competition or completed Aussie Hoops multiple times. It’s the perfect next step for developing their game further, with coaches focusing on improving skills, helping players better understand the game, and learning how to play as part of a team. Parents can look forward to seeing their child grow in confidence, and sharpen their abilities, all in a fun and supportive environment.
The program will run for 8 sessions.

Yes. First time participants require an Aussie Hoops Starter Pack. It includes essentials to get your child ready to play.
