SPBA Announces Support of the Think Pink Foundation
Southern Peninsula Basketball Association is proud to announce our support of the Think Pink Foundation.
This partnership marks an important moment for our club as we come together to support an organisation making a real difference in the lives of people affected by breast cancer.
About the Think Pink Foundation
The Think Pink Foundation is an independent charity that provides psychological, emotional, physical and practical support for anyone affected by a breast cancer diagnosis.
Their mission is to help enable a better journey for breast cancer patients and their families at every stage, from initial diagnosis, through treatment and into survivorship.
Think Pink’s work is delivered primarily through The Living Centre, a dedicated facility that provides emotional, practical and physical support to women and men diagnosed with breast cancer, as well as their families and carers. The centre focuses on wellness rather than illness, with all services provided free of charge.
Through The Living Centre and its outreach programs, Think Pink offers a wide range of support services including breast care nurse consultations, wig fittings, support groups, massage, wellness programs, exercise programs and educational workshops.
Why this partnership matters
For SPBA, this partnership is about using the strength of our basketball community to help raise awareness, support and connection around a cause that impacts so many families.
This is the kind of support that can make a meaningful difference during an incredibly challenging time. It helps reduce the day-to-day burden of cancer and gives patients and families access to care, guidance, connection and community when they need it most.
